Just rewrite it on a paper using variable (for example T):

2 x (T - 1) - 3 x (T - 2) + 4 x (T - 3 ) = 2 x (T + 5)

2T - 2 - 3T + 6 + 4T - 12 = 2T + 10

3T - 8 = 2T + 10

T = 18
